About AtTask, Inc.
AtTask managed to keep current customers happy while they reworked the product and prepared for the launch of a new version of AtTask. They introduced an all-new product to the market in 2006. Since that time, AtTask has experienced substantial growth, along with two rounds of venture capital (a Series A round in 2007 and a Series B round in 2009) which has been used to significantly expand its sales, marketing, development, and services capabilities. In the spring of 2009, AtTask was recognized for market share growth that outpaced the market by 12x, identifying AtTask as the project and portfolio growth leader in market share for 2008. AtTask also received recognition from leading analyst firms Gartner and Forrester in their respective Magic Quadrant and Forrester Wave. In 2009 recognition included being named an industry leader in SaaS/on-demand project portfolio management solutions by analyst firm IDC and jumping to #178 on the Inc. 500. During 2010 and 2011 AtTask continued to garner recognition winning the CODiE Award for Best Project Management Software for the third and fourth consecutive years. The CODiE award came on the heels of several other awards for AtTask, including being named as a Red Herring Global 100 Award recipient, being listed on the Inc 500/5000 for the third and fourth consecutive years, being named a UV50 Fastest Growing Company and a finalist for the Stoel Rives Utah Innovation Award. In February 2011, AtTask introduced TeamHome™ at its annual user conference, WorkOut. TeamHome represents a change in attitude regarding how organizations understand and manage work. This Work Management paradigm recognizes that a person’s workday consists of more than project-based work, and includes ad-hoc requests that come from colleagues, personal tasks, goals and objectives and repetitive duties that all must be understood and prioritized. This new paradigm provides a space to collect, prioritize and manage all the work done within an organization. TeamHome helps people communicate with each other and share insights, update progress and recognize one another’s accomplishments. Team leads and managers gain better understanding of their people’s priorities, difficulties and status, while teammates gain visibility into the challenges and wins their colleagues are experiencing. The Work Management paradigm and TeamHome provide workspaces to facilitate collaboration, including things like wikis, blogs, document sharing, meetings, chat and group resource scheduling. This creates greater visibility into what others are working on and enables things like comments and updates around projects and tasks. Wherever possible, this Work Management methodology will influence and empower people throughout the organization (both upward and downward), to involve people in the execution of structured work, and to deliver rich conversational insight into status and activity occurring within the organization. In August of 2011, AtTask announced the appointment of new President and Chief Executive Officer Eric Morgan. |
